YOUR FILES, YOUR DEVICE.
Your files.
Right where they belong.
Poptools processes files in your current browser without uploading them to a server.
What is sent over the network?
Your browser downloads the pages, code, fonts and conversion engines needed to run tools. Selected files, input text, PDF passwords and conversion results are not sent to Poptools servers. We do not use ads, analytics that collect file contents, or session replay.
Anonymous usage statistics
To improve the service, we store only daily totals of page views and completed conversions, calculations and random draws by tool and language in Cloudflare, retaining the latest 90 days. Usage statistics do not store files, inputs, results, email addresses, IP addresses or individual histories, and do not use analytics cookies. We do not send statistics when your browser enables Do Not Track or Global Privacy Control, or when you are offline. IP addresses are used transiently for rate limiting.
Google sign-in and privacy
Google sign-in is optional. When you sign in, we use your Google-verified account identifier, email and name to maintain your session. The sign-in cookie expires after 8 hours and is deleted when you sign out. We do not store your Google password or converted files. Favorites and recent tools remain in this browser only.
What stays on my device?
Favorites and the names and times of recently used tools are stored in this browser. File names and document contents are not recorded in your recent history. Results are stored in memory or temporary browser file storage and cleaned up when a new task starts or the page closes. Old temporary files left after a crash are cleaned up at the start of the next task.
Offline downloads
Choosing offline use saves the site and that tool’s code in the browser cache. Your files are not placed in that cache. If the browser clears its storage, you may need to download tools again.
Using a shared device
After saving results, check the downloads folder and close the tab you used. Downloaded files are not deleted by clearing Poptools caches. Poptools cannot control access granted to browser extensions or software installed on your device.
